Power and privilege are built into our institutions and systems, as well as in our social identities. Too often, the misuse of power and privilege creates oppressive structures built on policies and practices that support inequities. This course explores aspects of various social identities and the privileges and powers associated with each of them. Using the CCBD’s proprietary gamification learning system and digital app – Matrix of Intersectionality – you will learn to “unlock” interlocking systems of power to implement equity by leveraging the privilege you have.
