Academic Hiring Readiness Program: Preparing Your Committees for Effective Searches

The higher education hiring landscape has changed dramatically. New political dynamics, compliance requirements, and heightened scrutiny have made it increasingly difficult for institutions to run searches that are consistent, transparent, and defensible. Committees must now balance candidate evaluation with protecting institutional credibility and ensuring alignment with mission and culture.

The Academic Hiring Readiness Program equips your search committees with the structure, tools, and guidance they need to conduct effective searches from posting to hire. Through this program, committees will gain clarity and confidence, strengthen the candidate experience, and align each step of the process with institutional goals, helping your institution not just fill positions, but make the right hires.

About the Program

The Core License is the foundation of the Academic Hiring Readiness Program. It equips your committees with the complete curriculum, orientation, and leadership alignment needed to begin searches with clarity. Institutions that need broader coverage or deeper leadership support may select the Expanded or Enterprise license, which build on Core by adding job posting audits, tailored tools, and chair-focused support.

FAQ

Is the license tied to individual searches or is it annual?

Each license is an annual institutional agreement. Your committees have 12 months of access to the full program, resources, and support. This ensures consistency across all searches during the academic year.

Yes. All participating committees can access the program simultaneously. This allows consistency across searches and reduces the burden on HR and leadership.

The Program Orientation introduces all committee members to the framework and helps them understand why this program is essential in today’s climate. The Leadership Alignment Meeting brings together provosts, HR, and key leaders to connect the program directly to your institution’s policies, mission, and compliance priorities.

Support scales by license level, from email guidance for committees to dedicated Zoom support for chairs and leadership. Expanded and Enterprise tiers also include job posting audits, tailored tools, and ongoing advisory touchpoints to ensure consistency and defensibility.
